What Does a Game Director Do at Lively?
We are looking for someone to take ultimate responsibility for delivering one of our games here at Lively. We highly value people skills and people who are great to work with, those who like to take responsibility and push for wonderful solutions and those with a mind for elegance and simplicity.
A creatively-minded producer or a production-minded creative, we want to give you the chance to shine and ensure our games come alive in the hearts and minds of our players, using thoughtful leadership and management to make sure creative dreams become a practical reality.

- Takes ultimate responsibility for the delivery of games, ensuring they meet their production, commercial and creative goals.
- Shapes, communicate and champion the vision for the game, translating it into iterative, practical deliverables.
- Is the voice of the player in the team, focusing on the player experience during development.
- Express's Empathy & approachability. Work collaboratively with the leads to build on our mutually respectful culture.
- Motivates and guide the team, getting great results without sacrificing kindness or empathy.
- Empowers the leads and the team to work independently, while ensuring they deliver wonderful work we can all be proud of.
- Communicate in a smooth, compelling and clear fashion with the game team, the management team and the client.
- Adapt your approach to best suit the needs of the game as it moves from inception to production to release to live ops.
- In the most wholesome way imaginable, you love what you do, and we can tell. (This isn’t a codeword for crunch. The day is over. Go home. So to speak...)
